The bed looks really nice but takes a good few hours to assemble. The ottoman mechanism doesn’t feel the strongest either, we have a reasonably thick mattress but the mechanism isn’t strong enough to safely hold the mattress up.

I would have like to have given this absolutely 5 stars, as it looks stunning and robust, but the robustness is a bit of an illusion.
The headboard and side panels are really well made. The metal frame, though, lets down the rest of the bed. It’s made of square metal tubing that’s far too thin and small, so that screwing it together tight enough compresses the tubing easily out of shape. The whole frame is then hard to align so it lifts up and down properly, and creaks a lot as you move in bed while sleeping. If your big and heavy, go for something far more sturdy.
That said, worth the money, my son loves it, and would buy again.
