This is my 3rd attempt to find something to stop my rug moving on the hard floor. Tried tape and other rug grips. This is perfect, adds extra cushion, doesn’t ride up under the rug and most certainly stops the rug moving.

Great grip, nice and comfortable, not curling. I put it down in a high traffic area for 2 days, then pulled it up. It came up easy, with no sticking on the floor.

Good quality. The reason I give it 4 stars is that carpet on carpet is very tough with this material. I ended up buying quite a bit of reverse side. D tape to get the rest of the rug to lay down? It’s not extremely sticky for carpets, but I can imagine for laminate or wood or tile. It would be great Wish there was more adhesive..

It worked perfectly! I’m so happy I chose this one. My rug stays on one place now. Even when I slide the ottoman around. I’m very happy!

Having tried all kinds of different tapes and pads to keep our living room rug from creeping and causing a trip hazard, I was about ready to give up and use the industrial carpet tape on my new wood floors, but in a last ditch effort tried this instead. I’m so glad I did. Several months later it hasn’t moved at all and exceeds expectations. Easy to cut to size, provides extra cushioning and holds in place without being sticky. I was able to move it multiple times when installing so I know removal will be a breeze. A *million* times better than the alternative products out there.

Had the product for a year now and no major issues. It stops the rug from sliding when you walk on it.
Pros:
Got it because my dog likes to gallop and slide across a hallway rug while chasing things. The product does a good job keeping things in place, but will occasionally bunch up underneath in a way that I notice while walking over. The worst is when the dog is kicking the rug in it’s sleep.
I do have to readjust the rug every so often, probably once a month. It will peak out after vigorous running across it, but it’s a minor thing that only takes a minute.
Dog hair doesn’t seem to affect it. I have a little build up under the grip pad, but there’s still no slipping.
Cons:
I have noticed that it slips easily when pushed from the side. My conclusion is that this product is most effective when it is being squished. I’ve seen a few people in the comments who used with with a throw rug on a couch and this doesn’t seem to be the product for that. It’s not inherently sticky, so it will slide more easily on smooth surfaces if it’s not being squished. That being said, I used to be able to run and jump on the rug and it would slide across the floor. Now it barely moves.
It does seem to be degrading slowly though. It’s probably from the dog kicking it, but the little foam balls on top are slowly coming off. It’s only a few so far, and performance hasn’t been affected.
This product would probably be most effective if it was attached to the rug with a sticky backing, preventing the two from moving independently.

I have struggled for years with throw rugs on carpet. They just will not stay put. I have tried every “rug grip” out there to no avail. Until now!! This one really works!! I am amazed! And so relieved to finally be able to keep my rugs in place! I highly recommend this!!

About the Gorilla Grip Rug
I give 25 % success. First I thought it is reasonable but I have to move prayer rug few times then it became almost useless.
Daniel Adam Carreon –
It works as I had hoped. Easy to install and keeps the rug in its place. Perfect!

This is the second one I have bought – they hold carpets in place well. We are becoming more aware of carpets that slide on wood floors and become a fall risk. These solvent that issue!
