ound this tiny brass object in my mother’s old drawer and have no idea what it is. It looks like a miniature spoon, but i don’t think it was made for food — does anyone recognize it?

One possibility is that it’s an antique ear spoon (ear pick), a small personal-grooming tool, rather than a food utensil. Similar tools appear in historical collections, although a tiny brass spoon could also have served another purpose.

To help narrow it down, could you upload a photo of the object? Ideally, show both sides and place it beside a ruler or coin for scale.

A few clues would help:

  • Is the handle pointed, curved, or decorated?
  • Is the little bowl solid, perforated, or unusually shallow?
  • Is there a loop or another tool at the opposite end?

Please don’t test it inside your ear; let’s identify it first.
